Ever since its release Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has had great hype, and even though the game is almost 11 years old, the hype around it has still not died down, and fans are loving the game more than ever.
The hype around the game is not expected to fade anytime soon since earlier this month, over 11 years after its initial release, CS:GO broke the all-time concurrent player record on Steam by reaching 1,320,219 concurrent players.
And now, CS:GO has done it once again, as the game recently surpassed its all-time concurrent player record on Steam by reaching 1,349,390 concurrent players, which is about 30,000 more players than its previous record set earlier this month.
This is all due to the heart that the developers put into the game, as CS:GO is routinely updated, and the players’ requests are taken into consideration. This explains why the game is still so popular despite being almost 11 years old.
CS:GO is undoubtedly one of the most famous PC games ever released, and the numbers are a big proof of that statement. As the game’s player base is stronger than ever now, it looks like it will be like that for quite some time.
The Counter-Strike games have always performed well, and due to the incredible achievements of the Counter-Strike games, many creators are inspired and want their games to act like them. Recently, even Respawn said they wish for Apex Legends to last two decades, like Counter-Strike.
We are excited and looking forward to what the future hold for CS:GO. This is the limited information we have for now, but we will be looking for more news regarding CS: GO in the future.
On that note, what do you think about CS:GO breaking its record once again by hitting 1,349,390 concurrent players? Let us know in the comments section.
