Fast optical switches in a compact form!

[Press Release] CORSAIR has launched the VANGUARD AIR 99 WIRELESS, a low-profile gaming keyboard focused on speed, comfort, and everyday usability. With a slim 18mm design, it offers a cleaner look while keeping performance at the center.

The keyboard uses CORSAIR OPX optical low-profile switches with a 1.5mm actuation point. Inputs register almost instantly because the switches use infrared detection rather than traditional contact. Paired with 8,000Hz hyper-polling and FlashTap SOCD handling, it delivers fast and accurate input for competitive gaming.

It supports tri-mode connectivity, including 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and USB wired. This enables smooth performance across PCs, Macs, and consoles, while giving users flexibility in how they connect.

A key highlight is its integration with Elgato Stream Deck. Six programmable SD keys let users assign shortcuts to games, apps, or system controls. With Virtual Stream Deck support, users can also create on-screen control panels for quick access to more functions.

The keyboard is built with an aluminum frame and includes gasket mounting with multiple sound-dampening layers. This improves typing feel and reduces noise. PBT double-shot keycaps add durability, making them suitable for long-term use.

An integrated LCD screen adds quick visual feedback, helping users manage tasks without switching windows.

The VANGUARD AIR 99 WIRELESS is available through CORSAIR’s official store and global retailers, targeting users who want a thin keyboard without giving up performance.
