Judge Confirms Release Window During FTC Hearing!

Call of Duty is a juggernaut in the gaming industry. The first-person shooter IP has been relevant for over a decade, with the latest entry making over $800 million in the first three days. Activision also teased a sequel, expected to be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

While the marketing campaign for the upcoming title has not begun yet, the federal judge of the FTC and Microsoft case appears to have confirmed a November release for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

Why it matters: Due to the IP’s popularity, fans worldwide are anticipating the next title. The previous game also teased an intriguing callback to the older Modern Warfare trilogy, leading to more excitement.

Following the judge’s statement, the official Call of Duty account tweeted an emoji, potentially acknowledging the statement.

This likely confirms Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is coming in November. Previously, Tom Henderson reported that the game would be released on November 10, with marketing kicking off in August.

While the leaker is extremely reliable, this was not confirmed. However, the Federal Judge corroborates the report.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 included many exciting offerings. In addition to a new battle royale with Warzone 2.0, it also included DMZ mode for additional variety.

Therefore, the upcoming entry has big shoes to fill. It should also be noted that the next Modern Warfare title is being developed by Sledgehammer Games, the studio behind Call of Duty: Vanguard.
