FromSoftware Already Has A PC Port!

Bloodborne is among the best works from developer FromSoftware to this day. Even after critically acclaimed releases like Elden Ring, the title continues to be one of the most beloved releases from the studio.

The game is currently exclusive to PlayStation, playable only on the PS4 and PS5. However, a popular FromSoftware dataminer, Lance McDonald, has noticed a PC version of Bloodborne: The Old Hunters Edition.

Why it matters: Fans have been demanding a Bloodborne PC release for quite some time now. With the recent PC ports from PlayStation, the demand for Bloodborne has shown up once again.

Lance McDonald noticed that a FromSoftware developer had uploaded screenshots from the PC version to the Bloodborne Wiki.

As Lance pointed out, it is not uncommon for developers to use a PC build for the game. However, in this case, the environment artist took screenshots from a full build, which implies that Bloodborne was fully playable on PC at some point.

Since the PC build includes The Old Hunters DLC, it may have also been developed later in the game’s lifecycle. Unfortunately, this does not provide any evidence for an eventual PC release.

Following its launch, the game has been limited to PS4 hardware. To everyone’s disappointment, Bloodborne was not patched to utilize the PS5 hardware for improved performance and visuals.

Previously, Lance McDonald also mentioned an early Bloodborne build that was playable on PC. But the latest build is much different, coming with all the content that fans can enjoy in the retail version.

Recent rumors have claimed that PlayStation plans on revisiting Bloodborne, but the source did not elaborate much beyond this. However, with PlayStation Showcase right around the corner, fans will soon learn if PlayStation intends to finally bring back the iconic franchise.
