PlayStation To Revisit Bloodborne, Claims God of War Creator

Remaster Or PC Port Coming Up?

Bloodborne was first released in 2015 and quickly became one of the best exclusive games on the PS4. With fresh, fast-paced combat and a captivating setting, many quickly grew to enjoy FromSoftware’s new IP.

The game has not been revisited since its release, but according to David Jaffe, the creator of God Of War, From Software is working on a Bloodborne remake or remaster.

Why it matters: Bloodborne is still locked at 30FPS on PS4 Pro and PS5. The game has not received much attention at all, but the fan demand has only grown with the passing years.

David Jaffe said:

“I’ve heard about Bloodborne. I don’t know if it’s a remaster. I don’t if it’s just a pc version, but we know its in development.”

With remakes like Demon’s Souls and The Last of Us Part 1, many have hoped PlayStation will revisit Bloodborne for a similar treatment.

Another recent rumor hinted at a remaster for Horizon Zero Dawn. While this has not been confirmed yet, it could show PlayStation’s commitment to revitalizing older games, and fans are expecting something similar for Bloodborne.

At the very least, many older games have been patched to run at higher resolutions and frame rates for PS4 Pro and PS5. A similar 60FPS update for Bloodborne would also be a huge step forward for the game.

With David Jaffe being a former game developer for PlayStation, he may have sources with information about the gaming giant. However, he was not sure when the alleged game would be revealed, and it would be best to take the information with a grain of salt.

Fans are eagerly waiting for the remaster, but Sony continues to ignore it despite demand. A Bloodborne announcement will surely excite fans and might even bring a new audience to the iconic FromSoftware release.
