Battlefield: Dev Claims EA And Dice Can Still Make Stunning Game

BattleBit Dev Has Faith In Dice!

BattleBit Remastered is a low poly multiplayer FPS game. While the game comes from an indie developer, it has already sold nearly 2 million copies, sitting at the second position on Steam’s best-sellers.

As the game allows players to control different vehicles and use various weapons on a large map with destructible environments, it strongly resembles the Battlefield series.

During a recent Reddit AMA, a developer was asked about potential lessons for Battlefield. However, the developer claimed that Dice developers know more and can still deliver a stunning game.

Why it matters: The last two games from EA and Dice have been plagued with various issues. This has led to disappointment and negativity around the franchise.

When asked about lessons that the Battlefield developers could learn from the BattleBit Remastered team, the developer said:

“The devs prob know things way better than we do.”

Furthermore, while talking about the current state of the Battlefield franchise and the recent failures, the developer stated:

“I think they would still be able to deliver an absolute stunner of a Battlefield.”

Previously, Dice has delivered games like Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 4. While the latter launched with various issues, it was updated over time and has since become a classic FPS title.

Looking at games like Battlefield 5, it is clear that Dice still has many talented developers at the studio. While the last two games had a rocky launch, they are doing much better after several months of updates.

Following the recent game, EA has also built a new studio for single-player experiences in the franchise. Therefore, the publisher knows the IP’s importance and will likely be more careful with future releases.

A new Battlefield game is unlikely to arrive anytime soon, but fans hope Dice will deliver an exceptional release after the recent disappointments. In the meantime, players can try BattleBit Remastered for similar large-scale battles in the FPS genre.
