AMD Will Launch Radeon RX 7500 As Cut-Down Variant of RX 7600

Expert Verified By

A year ago, there were rumors of a successor to RX 6500. But now, there is expected to be a trimmed version of RX 7600. The Radeon RX 7500 will be based on the 33 Navi graphics core like RX 7600.

Regarding the specifications of RX 7500, the leaker All_The_Watts confirmed the specifications. The graphics card will have the same graphics chip as the RX 7600, which is the Navi 33, allowing it to have 128 bits to manage its 8 GB of GDDR6 memory at 16 Gbps.

This means that it will have twice the capacity of the RX 6500. It also offers 28 Compute Units under the RDNA 3 architecture, compared to 16 RDNA 2 Compute Units of RX 6500.

With a TDP of 130W, it performs more efficiently than the RX 6600. However, we are unsure if it will be one of the models AMD will display at Gamescom.

The leaks tell us the Radeon RX 7500 will cost around $219. The RX 6600 can be found for as low as $200 brand new. It is important to remember that the RX 7600 outperforms the RX 6650 XT by only single-digit margins. So, the RX 7500, which should be demonstrably slower than the RX 7600, may not be an enticing enough deal vs the RX 6600 at the current prices.

We will have to wait until AMD will launch this graphics card.
