According to the latest rumors, NVIDIA is already stocking up on its best Full AD102 GPU Core chips to bring to life what is truly its flagship GPU of the GeForce RTX 40-series, GeForce RTX 4090 Ti.

Best of all, the current cooling system can deal with the increased consumption of this new flagship graphics card, which increases the number of cores while maintaining the same VRAM memory capacity.

Although the GeForce RTX 4090 is the first gaming GPU to reach 100 TFLOPs of power, helped by overclocking, this model could repeat the feat, but with factory frequencies.

Alleged Specifications of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Ti

According to the reliable source @XpeaGPU, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 Ti will come with a total of 18,176 CUDA Cores, 1,792 more than the GeForce RTX 4090, which would reach a Turbo frequency of 2.75 GHz (vs. 2.52 GHz).

On the memory side, we have the same 24GB of GDDR6X capacity with a 384-bit memory interface, except it comes in at a speed of 24Gbps compared to 21Gbps. This allows the bandwidth to be significantly increased to 1,152 GB/s (vs. 1,008 GB/s), while its power consumption would rise slightly to 475W (vs. 450W).

According to reports, the increased number of CUDA cores, increased frequencies, and the increased bandwidth provided by 24 Gbps memory, would allow the GeForce RTX 4090 Ti to offer between 15 and 20% more performance in comparison with GeForce RTX 4090.

Although the specifications are already being discussed, it seems too early to discuss a possible launch. For reference, the GeForce RTX 3090 debuted on the market on September 24, 2021, and the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti was launched on March 29, 2022, so we should also expect the announcement of a new flagship graphics card between January-February with a possible launch in March-April, 2023.

We’ll also have to wait for AMD to make a move on its Radeon RX 7000 Series, which will upset whatever release date NVIDIA is currently planning. In the case of AMD, they are expected to reveal next-Gen graphics cards at the end of this year or, at the latest, at the beginning of January, during the CES in Las Vegas. So it would be logical to expect that NVIDIA will not make a move until the official announcement of graphics cards from Red camp.
