- Retailers are confirming extremely limited availability of the RTX 5070 at launch.
- AMD has ample stock of its RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 cards, providing consumers with readily available alternatives amidst the NVIDIA shortage.
- With upcoming tariffs and historical trends, prices for graphics cards are expected to rise, making immediate purchases potentially strategic.
The moment is approaching and what was leaked just 5 days ago is starting to take real shape. These are no longer just words, we are faced with proven facts to the point that some stores are issuing official statements so that users do not get angry and can digest the fact that there will be very limited stock of RTX 5070 at launch. Yes! another paper launch by NVIDIA.
We don’t know the exact reasons beyond the leak we saw last week, but what is very clear is that both Greens and Reds seem to have been playing cat and mouse, and this time Jensen Huang is going to get burned, badly. The reasons, below;
GeForce RTX 5070: Expect Limited Availability at Launch
One of Sweden’s largest retailers Inet.se has hit the nail on the head anyone hoping to buy one of the RTX 5070 announced models in Sweden better be patient. The store’s statement (translated) reads:
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 is due out on March 5th , but unfortunately it looks like we won’t be able to get the cards released then. This is simply because we can’t seem to get cards in stock.
Websites Are Listing Just For Positions in Search Results
Those who are taking the plunge and putting their products online to position themselves before anyone else are giving another surprise on the other side of the pond.
The anticipated shortage of the RTX 5070 could severely impact NVIDIA’s market position. Recent reports indicate AMD has a substantial inventory of both the RX 9070 XT and RX 9070, in many customs models from different AIB partners offering consumers readily available alternatives.
With projected price increases due to upcoming tariffs, purchasing an AMD card now might be a strategic move for consumers.
Maybe, after all, and even if you don’t like it, it may be a good time to buy as happened at the launch of the RTX 30, RTX 40, and RX 7000, where prices continued to increase even after a year later. Yes, this sector has gone crazy, without a doubt.
