Really Compared Real World With Fiction!

Story Highlights
  • GTA 5 was released in 2013, but Elon Musk did not enjoy the game.
  • He states that it forced him to kill police officers, and he was not fond of this.
  • Elon Musk is unlikely to play GTA 6 since it will contain similar themes.

Ever since Rockstar dropped the GTA 6 trailer, the internet appears to be busy with nothing but discussions revolving around this title.

Whether it be the game’s platforms or views on YouTube, internet users across social media have been busy discussing this game. Even the likes of Elon Musk have joined the discussion with a hot take.

Amidst the GTA 6 excitement, Elon Musk declared that he is not a fan of Grand Theft Auto games due to the crimes depicted in the series.

Why it matters: This interaction shows the divisive nature of Grand Theft Auto, which has always been a major part of the series.

The conversation started when Dan posted that he hadn’t played any of the Grand Theft Auto games. Elon Musk replied with his own experience of the series, claiming that he did not like going on crime sprees in GTA 5.

In particular, he pointed out that he could not bring himself to kill cops in the opening of GTA 5, which eventually turned him away from the game. Afterward, another popular social media personality, Ian Miles Cheong, joined the Twitter/X thread.

He stated that a game like Cyberpunk 2077 does not encourage the killing of cops, making it an optional part of the game. Ian Miles Cheong also confirmed that he did not finish GTA 5.

These discussions are not new for Grand Theft Auto. The subject of violence in this series has always been controversial, but it seems even the biggest personalities are unable to separate fiction from reality.

Grand Theft Auto GTA 5

No part of Grand Theft Auto is real, and the violence represented in the game is limited to fiction on a screen. Nonetheless, Elon Musk is unlikely to play GTA 6 for this very reason.

Despite his dislike for Grand Theft Auto, Elon Musk is quite a big fan of games. The CEO is passionate about titles like Elden Ring and Quake, holding them in high regard. Like Elon Musk, Randy Orton is also fond of Elden Ring, highlighting that the gaming industry is now popular among celebrities and big personalities.
