Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 Ti Expected To Arrive In Early 2024

More Performance For $1200 Price Range!

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 Ti is the second most powerful consumer graphics card in the RTX 4000 series.

Traditionally, Nvidia has released stronger variants of these graphics cards with the ‘Ti’ revision, but a GeForce RTX 4090 Ti is not expected this time. Instead, Nvidia may be considering the GeForce RTX 4080 Ti for a 2024 release.

According to the reliable source, MEGAsizeGPU, Nvidia is expected to launch a brand new graphics card in the GeForce RTX 4000 lineup.

However, the designation of the card is not decided yet. It can either become an RTX 4080 Super or RTX 4080 Ti. The latter appears more likely, given the fact that Nvidia did not bring the Super revisions back in the last generation.

Currently, there is no information on the specifications of the rumored GeForce RTX 4080 Ti. However, we would not be surprised if Nvidia decided to go with the AD102 GPU instead of the AD103 used on the GeForce RTX 4080.

AD102 is the same GPU used in the GeForce RTX 4090. In this scenario, the GeForce RTX 4080 Ti would be a cutdown variant of the flagship Ada Lovelace graphics card, delivering higher performance than the GeForce RTX 4080.

The Ti versions of 80 series cards from Nvidia have typically reached close to flagship performance, so the expected GeForce RTX 4080 Ti will probably perform like a GeForce RTX 4090.

However, it is expected to come with a lower TGP, targeting a TGP below 450W. While the performance is expected to be similar to the GeForce RTX 4090, the graphics card will likely ship with other compromises for a lower price tag.

The source expects a release date of early 2024 for the GPU, putting it alongside AMD’s rumored Radeon RX 7600 XT. As for the price, the GeForce RTX 4080 Ti will likely fall around the MSRP of its non-Ti variant.

A $1200 price would make the most sense, with Nvidia continuing the trend of higher prices for its premium graphics card. However, there is a possibility that the non-Ti variant will fall in price after this release.
