Redfall Has Finally Received 60FPS Update For Xbox Series S|X

Arkane Finally Breaks Silence!

Redfall was one of the few console games of 2023 that launched without 60FPS. The game was also lacking in other areas, quickly becoming the lowest-rated game of Arkane Studios.

However, Pete Hines from Bethesda recently confirmed that the 60FPS update was still being worked on. One month later, Redfall has been finally updated with a 60FPS performance mode for Xbox Series S|X.

Why it matters: This was a much-needed update for the game since FPS games require consistent 60FPS gameplay for the best possible experience.

Redfall has received its most significant update since its launch. In addition to other changes, Arkane Studios’ latest release is finally playable at 60FPS, making it much more enjoyable.

The developers have fixed many issues PC players had with the game, including several edge-case memory crashes. They have also improved the PC performance and stability.

Stealth takedowns have been added to the game, and to make the game more exciting, the developers have increased the open-world enemy population and added new encounters.

The list of changes is expansive, modifying the combat and adding new controller settings. While this revamp may not completely turn things around for Redfall, it will undoubtedly make the game better.

The complete list of changes can be found on Bethesda’s official website for users looking to learn more.

Nonetheless, it is great to see the developers did not lose hope and have worked hard on the 60FPS patch since the game was launched.

Following the poor launch of the game, players on Steam have nearly abandoned it completely. Recently, the game reached single-digit concurrent players, often lacking enough players to fill a party for co-op gameplay.

However, this is a step in the right direction. The gaming industry has recently witnessed the redemption of Cyberpunk 2077, so there is still hope for a similar resurgence for Redfall.

Halloween will also be upon us soon. Therefore, this is the perfect time for Arkane Studios to revitalize Redfall. It remains to be seen if this update will be enough to convince players to return, but Arkane Studios is certainly trying to bring the game back.
