Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom Leaked Build Playable On PC

Playable On PC!

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the biggest game coming this year from Nintendo, and the company made sure to keep the game safe from getting leaked until recently.

However, just two weeks ahead of release, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has been leaked online and is already playable on PC.

Why it matters: Due to the limited hardware found in the Nintendo Switch, many gamers prefer to play Nintendo games via emulation on PC. However, Nintendo is not too fond of emulation and piracy.

It is still unknown how the game got leaked, but many players received their physical copies of the game two weeks prior to the release date.

This has led to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom now being on PC emulators. The game can be found on piracy sites, and users have already begun to try the game with popular Nintendo Switch emulators.

This should also mean that the emulation will have more time to improve the game’s performance by the time it is officially released. The video above shows The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom running on Ryujinx at 20-30 FPS with much room for improvement.

But it would be best to skip the video for those wanting to enjoy the release without spoilers. Footage for the game has also spread all over the internet since yesterday, with many even streaming the title on specific platforms.

However, Nintendo is now trying to stop the spread through copyright strikes. Nintendo has already been known to take strict action against such measures. Previously, Gary Bowser was sentenced to pay $14.5 million to Nintendo.

As such, the company will likely pursue similar measures against current leakers.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild also suffered similar leaks before its release date. However, this did little to stop the game from becoming a fan favorite.

After years of anticipation, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom is almost here. Fan expectations are sky high, and the franchise has big shoes to fill after the previous entry in the franchise.
