Mods To The Rescue!

The Last of Us Part 1 was one of Sony’s most anticipated PC ports, but the game on launch was a disaster, and it received negative reviews. Since then, the game has become  Naughty Dog’s worst-rated release yet.

Reports also claim Steam accepted The Last of Us Part 1 refunds despite playtime due to the state of the port. Following a series of patches, the game is still far from great, and the bugs and issues have not been fixed yet.

However, fans have taken it upon themselves to fix the port through mods

On Nexus Mods, players can find mods to improve various vital issues.

This includes issues like the infamous crashing problem on top of general performance improvements. However, players have reported mixed impressions after testing these mods.

While many claim the mods offer little change, others claim that there were noticeable improvements. Fans have even uploaded a configuration for 2GB VRAM graphics cards, lowering settings beyond the in-game menu.

Meanwhile, Naughty Dog is trying its best to fix the bugs in the game. The latest patch was released yesterday, and more are likely on the way.

Till then, however, players can try out the mods that are being developed by the community. If PC gaming history is anything to go by, players will keep making mods to improve the game.

Will you try out the mods? Are you still facing problems with the PC port?
