11 Assassin’s Creed Games In Development From Ubisoft

Ubisoft Going All In With Assassin's Creed!

Having sold over 200 million copies, Assassin’s Creed is one of the biggest gaming franchises. Although the series has not seen a new entry since Valhalla, multiple new titles are already in development.

This also included Assassin’s Creed Mirage, coming in 2023. Previously, it had been reported that four more titles were in development, including three major releases and a multiplayer game.

However, another title was recently reported to be in development. The report claims Ubisoft is working on a remake of Assassin’s Creed 4. With this addition, the total count of Assassin’s Creed games in development adds up to 11.

Why it matters: Assassin’s Creed has been an annual franchise in the past, but recent games have deviated from this trend. However, Ubisoft intends to bring the franchise back with several new entries.

The 11 titles in development include:

  • AC Mirage (Releasing In 2023)
  • AC Nexus (VR)
  • AC Nexus 2 (VR)
  • AC Codename Jade (Mobile Title)
  • AC Codename Red (RPG Game Set In Japan)
  • AC Codename Hexe (16th-Century Witch Hunting Era)
  • AC Codename Invictus (Multiplayer Title)
  • AC Codename Nebula (Game Featuring 3 Settings)
  • AC Codename Raid (PVE Game)
  • AC Codename Echoes (Multiplayer)
  • Black Flag Remake

Codename Nebula will be developed by the studio behind Assassin’s Creed Rogue. The title reportedly features settings like India, the Aztec region, and the Mediterranean. Meanwhile, project Raid is a co-op PVE game aimed at the free-to-play market. Project Echoes is a multiplayer title set to utilize Ubisoft Scalar.

In addition to multiple protagonists, Codename Red includes a Japanese setting. This entry will mark a return to the RPG formula from the recent trilogy.  Ubisoft also confirmed Project Hexe would be set in the 16th century during the witch-hunting era.

Ubisoft has already confirmed an increased focus on Assassin’s Creed. The developer has allocated more developers to the IP, hoping to utilize its appeal across various entries for fans.

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag Remake is the latest addition to this list and is unlikely to be released soon. However, Mirage, Nexus, and Codename Jade are scheduled for release this year.

All future Assassin’s Creed games will be released on the latest Infinity platform, serving as a centralized hub for the franchise.
