Due to that, Atsu, the new lead, received backlash from the fandom, and the impressions of the game weren’t really that positive. Now a new rumor states that internally Sony executives aren’t happy with the early impressions.

This rumor comes from Endymion, who got this information from an alleged insider. The YouTuber seems to have a lot of influence on the platform, and he reveals Ghost of Yotei blindsided many people at Sony, especially those who weren’t aware of what Sucker Punch is working on.

So, it is fair to say the initial impressions of the game weren’t close to what it should have been given the influence of Ghost of Tsushima, which would make sense as to why Sony executives aren’t happy.
