Massive Milestone For Manor Lords!

Story Highlight
  • Manor Lords has become one of Steam’s fastest-selling releases this year.
  • The title has already sold over 2 million units in its first month.
  • Needless to say, the game has exceeded everyone’s expectations.

Manor Lords has become one of 2024’s biggest releases. Before its release, this city-builder was the most wish-listed title on Steam, with over 3 million people waiting for the launch.

Therefore, a huge launch was more or less guaranteed. Manor Lords sold one million units on its first day on the market, but the game did not stop there. According to a new press release, the title has now sold 2 million copies.

Why it matters: Manor Lords has now set the bar too high for city builders this year, and it’s even more impressive once you consider that it was created by just one developer.

Manor Lords Has Been Played By Millions of Steam Users

In a recent press release, publisher Hooded Horse confirmed the game’s sales and stated that it is extremely happy with the results. Manor Lords has achieved 2 million sales in just three weeks.

Hooded Horse CEO Tim Bender has stated that the city builder has exceeded their expectations in every way. While the team was optimistic after the wishlists, it did not see the 2 million sales coming.

We had some pretty optimistic expectations, but reaching two million copies so quickly has exceeded even those.

The city builder had a higher launch peak than strategy games like Total War: Warhammer 3 and Civilization 6. However, the publisher says the team would have been happy with just half of what was achieved.

For the unfamiliar, Manor Lords launched to over 170K players on Steam, which is more than most of the titles released this year so far. Over 20K concurrent players have visited the game in the last 24 hours.

While this milestone is certainly a reason to celebrate, the team is currently focused on supporting Manor Lords as it continues to implement fan feedback.

Following this release, it’s a great time to be a fan of city builders. For those who have yet to purchase Manor Lords, the publisher states that discounts are coming soon, so fans may want to watch for price drops.

Moreover, the team is fully committed to longevity since this focus will attract more people to the game.
