Expect A Release Date Around Chinese New Year!

Story Highlight
  • Black Myth: Wukong is the biggest single-player game ever released on Steam.
  • Two DLCs for the game were reported to be in development just recently.
  • It seems like one of the DLCs is targeting a Q1 2025 release window.

Black Myth: Wuokng is one of the prominent releases this year. It became the biggest single-player game on the Steam platform. So, many were surprised, given the game reached nearly 2.5 million concurrent players.

It is a solid GOTY contender, and according to a report, it has earned almost $1 billion in revenue. This success ensures future content for the game, and a report did reveal that Game Science is working on two separate DLCs.

It seems like one of the expansions is targeting a release date of early 2025 at best.

Why it matters: Game Science has never worked on a title of this scale before, so this achievement is praiseworthy, and the developer should give players a lot more content to enjoy.

Black Myth Wukong DLC Development Seems To Be Going Smooth

Daniel Camilo, one of the most reliable Chinese video game analysts, recently revealed on Twitter that Black Myth Wukong’s expansion is targeting an early 2025 release date. He said that the DLC will come out sometime near the Chinese New Year 2025.

DLC for Black Myth Wukong will come out somewhere near the Chinese New Year, 2025. That is, right at the end of January, or very soon after.

The DLC could be released at the end of January or at the start of February. The game was recently released, so Game Science is planning to release the expansion relatively early. The analyst seems to be quite reliable, so fans can expect a release date around the Chinese New Year.

Previously, it was revealed that Black Myth: Wukong has sold 18 Million copies, but the analysis confirmed that it sold 2 million more copies. It is beyond impressive for Game Science to never have worked on a AAA game and curated such a masterpiece

Fans should be delighted to hear about the upcoming DLC. Two expansions were previously revealed to be in development. However, it seems that only one of them is targeting an early 2025 release date.

The game’s Xbox launch is still not announced, but fans are hoping it will get a release date at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show.
