Two Zelda Games On Top 3 Best Rated Games On OpenCritic!

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom is the most anticipated Nintendo game of 2023, and the reviews just came out a while ago. The hype after The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild was immense, but there was little doubt about the sequel not meeting expectations.

The reviews for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom are highly positive as they have a score of 96 on Metacritic and 97.223 on Opencritic. This makes it the best-rated game of 2023 on Metacritic and the best-rated game ever on OpenCritic.

Why it matters: Games like Resident Evil 4 Remake and Metroid Prime Remastered were released in 2023. However, the latest Zelda title has surpassed all of them and more, including its predecessor.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of Kingdom is just one day away from launch, so fans must wait a little longer. Then they will be able to explore, solve puzzles and more in Hyrule with the freedom of the upcoming title.

Being the best-rated game ever on OpenCritic is an excellent yet natural achievement for a Zelda game. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of Kingdom is ahead of Super Maria Odyssey (96.81) and its predecessor, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of Wild (95.9).

This release also means that two Legend of Zelda games now occupy spots on the top 3 best-rated OpenCritic games list, which is another great achievement for the franchise.

Previously, there were concerns regarding the game’s price as it is the first Nintendo game to cost $70. However, Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser said in an interview that it would justify the $70 price tag, and it looks like he was right.

Aside from that, what do you think of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of Kingdom being the best-rated game on OpenCritic?
