Generating A Hefty Revenue For Over A Decade!

Story Highlight
  • The Elder Scrolls Online has reportedly been making a massive $15 million in monthly revenue over the years.
  • The MMO has kept up these significant figures for more than a decade straight, showing no signs of halting.
  • Bethesda has been pumping the game with content and expansions, which has helped it stay relevant.

Despite having a messy start, The Elder Scrolls Online has continued to see significant improvements over the years. The active player count and content have also flourished, boosting the game’s success over its massive lifetime. However, no one had expected just how much of a moneymaker this RPG would turn out to be.

Recent findings show that the ESO has earned a hefty $15 million in monthly revenue. But that’s not the first time; the game has consistently maintained these massive figures for more than ten years.

Why it matters: This significant figure reveals that The Elder Scrolls Online is certainly one of the most successful MMORPGs.

Despite Having A Shaky Launch, The Game is Making A Hefty Revenue Each Month

Initially spotted by the hawk-eyed Twitter user @bogorad222, the hidden statistics for the RPG were found in Gary Boodhoo’s LinkedIn portfolio, a former User Experience Lead for the game. His profile further clarifies that ESO has made over $2 billion in total revenue over the years. The revenue also includes in-game purchases, subscriptions, and expansions.

Gary Boodhoo was among the prominent developers who collaborated with various teams to turn The Elder Scrolls Online into the behemoth it is today. He has also played a major role in developing the entry for the Xbox and PlayStation consoles.

The Elder Scrolls Online
The Elder Scrolls Online has grown a lot in content and player base over the decade due to massive expansions.

Therefore, a continuous $15 million monthly revenue stream is not surprising and far less likely to be a false claim when you consider how much sweat, blood, and tears have gone into making this successful RPG.

All in all, we still suggest taking the notable figures with a pinch of salt, as Bethesda has not officially commented on the game’s current monthly revenue.
