Despite all the exclusive game titles, PlayStation has one thing missing in its library: live service games. Live service games are constantly updated with new post-content in terms of Seasons these days to make the games feel fresh even after years of launch. The major comparison PlayStation has in this regard is Xbox.
In comparison, Microsoft has a huge list of live service games, the biggest of which is the Forza and Halo series. Another place where Xbox has completely diminished PlayStation is in the subscription services. Xbox is sweeping the floor with its Game pass and the live service games. Lately, PlayStation has been trying to match the rivalry and match up against Xbox’s pace.
Fortnite is one of the best examples of live service games. A few days ago, it was revealed that Sony had invested $1 Billion in Fortnite by investing these funds for Epic Games and Unreal Engine. So, Sony is looking serious about this matter. According to Sony’s CFO in a recent investor call, more than 10 live service games are planned to launch by March,, 2026. This ambitious plan is to expand the brand of PlayStation games beyond their traditional console methods.
In a big reveal by @Zuby_Tech, Sony is finally on the way to dropping their own exclusive live service games in collaboration with game studios.

To be more precise, a total of 10 different games from multiple studios are under development. Previously, we had also reported that Naughty Dog is working on a new multiplayer game and Call Of Duty’s developer had joined as a producer for latest project. In recent tweet, most of the allegedly games are AAA titles from great studios behind games like like Marvel’s Spiderman and Miles Morales from Insomniac, Horizon Call of the Mountain from Firesprite games, and various others. Zuby Tech has also stated that there might be other titles and deals that are being worked on behind the scenes.
The Studios working with Sony for these games have been even further confirmed by a list that shows the projects in development and job listings for them:
So far, we don’t have any information on the title of the games and the genre they are going to cover. We also heard the news of Sony acquiring many massive game studios in recent times and at the same time new content and title are constantly added to the Xbox Game Pass. No doubt, this rivalry will produce more and better games with time. And the more games launched, the better it will be for the gamers. We are looking forward to what Sony has in store for us. And we will keep an eye out for any new live service game that comes our way from one of these studios.
