Remnant 2 was just released a few days ago, and the game has been doing wonders for the franchise. Despite all the criticism due to the poor optimization, it launched to over 82K concurrent players on Steam.
While the game has already been out for four days, it appears to have reached a new milestone. According to SteamDB, Remnant 2 has reached over 100K concurrent Steam users.
Why it matters: The concurrent player counts on Steam are over twice as high as the previous game. This makes the game a massive success for Gunfire Games.
As seen above, Remnant 2 has reached nearly 109K concurrent players on Steam. At the time of writing, the game has over 105K active players, hinting that this peak record might continue to rise in the coming days.
On the other hand, Remnant: From the Ashes from 2019 peaked at just 48K concurrent players on Steam. The sequel is still comfortably positioned as the best-selling game on Steam, despite anticipated titles like Baldur’s Gate 3 coming up in less than a week.
Thank you all SO much for jumping into #Remnant2 today! The love and support you all have shared is just incredible. ❤️

Following the success, Gunfire Games has thanked the players for supporting the game.
The developer has also confirmed upcoming fixes for various issues that have been discovered across all platforms, including the friend invite issue on PS5.
The impressive player counts make Remnant 2 one of the most successful games on Steam this year.
Popular 2023 releases like Dead Space and Street Fighter 6 have been unable to reach similar concurrent peaks, highlighting Gunfire Games’ latest accomplishment with the game.
