Red Dead Redemption Remaster Hinted By Rockstar Website Update

Remaster Seems More Likely Than Ever!

Red Dead Redemption is expected to receive a remaster in the coming months. Following a recent rating in Korea, an insider claimed that Rockstar is currently working on a remaster for the game.

The insider suggested that an announcement could be made in August, and a recent update to Rockstar’s website provides further evidence for the remaster.

Why it matters: Red Dead Redemption is not playable for over 100 million users across PS4 and PS5, and a native port is also missing from the PC platform. Therefore, a remaster would allow millions of players to try the game.

As reported by Tez2, a new reference has been added to Rockstar’s website. The reference is different from the original game and includes a new logo.

According to the report, the reference is titled; Red Dead Redemption(Rockstar Presents Ver). A new codename has also been added. While the meaning of RDR1RSP is not confirmed, it could be similar to the logo above.

Nonetheless, this appears to be the strongest evidence of the remaster so far. Tez2 is known as a reliable source of information on Rockstar titles, and the insider has reported on compelling evidence of Red Dead Redemption Remaster.

Furthermore, the new Korean rating also hints at body damage. This is similar to the rating of Red Dead Redemption 2, suggesting that the remaster may integrate mechanics from Rockstar’s latest title.

While nothing is set in stone, the report has already sent waves of excitement through fans of Rockstar’s work. The first game in the Red Dead Redemption franchise is beloved worldwide, and a remaster is likely to be received well.

With the game having sold over 20 million copies already, there is little doubt about the remaster’s success. This could lead to another exceptional release for the studio before it releases the much-anticipated GTA 6.
