Several Models Out of Stock!

AMD might finally have landed on a graphics card release appealing to PC gamers. The recently launched Radeon RX 7800 XT and 7700 XT seem to be what the market was waiting for, offering a better price-to-performance ratio compared to its competition.

According to Moore’s Law Is Dead, the Radeon RX 7800 XT and 7700 XT are doing quite well in terms of sales, with sources claiming AMD is happy with the launch sales performance.

Over on Newegg, various models of the Radeon RX 7800 XT, in particular, are currently out of stock.

Some US retail stores are also calling it the most successful graphics card launch of the year. The success appears to stem from the fact that there is a massive demand for graphics cards in the $500 range, offering a great experience at 1440p resolution.

However, AMD’s recent success is likely related to the price-to-performance ratio. The Radeon RX 7800 XT and 7700 XT are beating their Nvidia competition, like the GeForce RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 Ti, by a respectable margin while costing much less.

They also come with much more memory, suitable for modern AAA titles that often require over 8GB or even 12GB at 1440p or higher resolutions. This may also be one of the reasons for the higher demand for the Radeon RX 7800 XT than the RX 7700 XT.

In terms of ray tracing performance, Nvidia has always been one step ahead of AMD. While this still holds true for the RDNA 3 generation, AMD has begun to close the gap with new graphics cards.

The Radeon RX 7800 XT and 7700 XT offer similar levels of ray tracing performance in AMD-optimized titles compared to their competition. Aside from Cyberpunk 2077, the two new RDNA 3 cards can often be better in ray tracing workloads.

With a price tag of $499 and $449, the Radeon RX 7800 XT and 7700 XT are currently the best-priced graphics cards on the market.
