The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion Remake has been in development for a long time, as it was first reported last year that the title had been in development.

However, after recent leaks claiming that the title could be released soon, an official confirmation of the remake is finally here, as Virtuos Games accidentally uploaded a bunch of screenshots from The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion.

Why it matters: Recent leaks suggest that the title could be shadow-dropped next week, and it appears to make much more sense now.

As user Taurnil shared on Reddit, the official website of Virtuos Games accidentally uploaded quite a few screenshots from The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion, including the snaps from the unreleased trailer.

Moreover, the leaked screenshots also include the key art of a knight in Imperial armour standing right in front of the Oblivion logo, confirming that the Remake is real. As can be seen above, many more screenshots have been leaked.

Interestingly, it has also been noted that the title won’t be Xbox exclusive, as PlayStation logos are included in the files, suggesting that it will be another multi-platform release from Xbox.

It has also been noted that the title is named Oblivion Remastered on the files. Virtuos Games has already fixed the issue on their sites. If you try to open any uploaded assets now, you will get errors like “403 Forbidden” or “You don’t have permission to access this resource.”

However, the damage has been done and has already been shared on the internet. Nonetheless, are you excited about The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion Remake? Comment below or join the Tech4Gamers forum.
