Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti To Cost $400, And $500 For 16GB Variant

Keeping Same Price From Last-Gen!

Videocardz just got their hands on the slides for the upcoming XX60 series from Nvidia just before its launch. The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti will indeed launch in two flavors with either 8 GB or 16 GB of memory.

Unsurprisingly, the weaker GeForce RTX 4060 will only offer 8 GB of memory. Nvidia has priced the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8 GB version at $400. However, the 16 GB variant will cost $500.

As for the GeForce RTX 4060 non-Ti, Nvidia has yet to announce its price.

In terms of performance, we are looking at 22TFLOPS of compute performance from the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti. The GeForce RTX 4060 non-Ti, on the other hand, will have a compute performance of 15 TFLOPS only. Compared to that, the GeForce RTX 3060 and GeForce RTX 3060 Ti had 13 TFLOPS and 16 TFLOP of compute performance, respectively.

Both the GeForce RTX 4060 and GeForce RTX 4060 Ti will also consume less power compared to their predecessor. The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti has a max TDP of 160W. In contrast, the GeForce RTX 4060 non-Ti will launch with a TDP of 115W.

The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti being the faster card, will have increased memory bandwidth and will be running at 18 Gbps with GDDR6 memory on a 128-bit bus. Compared to that, the GeForce RTX 4060 non-Ti will come equipped with memory running at 17 Gbps instead.

The maximum bandwidth of both the upcoming XX60 series is much lower than the RTX 3000 series due to its limited 128-bit memory bus. But according to the Nvidia slides, both the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti and GeForce RTX 4060 are performing quite well with a bandwidth of 288 GB/s and 272 GB/s, respectively.

The cards will perform better at lower resolutions, like 1080P, but anything above would result in performance loss due to the limited bandwidth.

As expected, the upcoming GeForce RTX xx60 cards are a bit faster than their counterparts, and DLSS 3 Frame Generation widens this gap further. However, we advise users to only pay attention to performance without gimmicks like DLSS Frame Generation for the best value.

The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti is expected to launch later this month, with the 16GB Ti variant and GeForce RTX 4060 following in July. Do expect Nvidia to officially announce the upcoming XX60 series card today.
