The Company Has Set Lofty Expectations For Q1 2027.

Story Highlight
  • Micron recorded a 380% increase in quarterly revenue year-on-year thanks to the never-ending demand for memory products.
  • The company grossed $54.2 billion in Q4, beating analyst expectations.
  • The share price of the memory maker has also surged by an incredible 550% compared to twelve months ago.

The memory crisis has been a time of great misfortune for most entities in the gaming world. Gaming giants like PlayStation and Xbox are set to suffer a 40% drop in sales of next-gen consoles if costs do not come down.

Memory prices have kept surging in 2026, with the cost hikes getting so out of control that most gamers aren’t even planning to build a new PC in the near future. However, memory makers are reaping all the benefits from the AI boom, with Micron now setting new profit records.

Why it matters: While other industries crumble under the weight of inflated memory prices, the memory makers have struck gold and aren’t willing to part with it anytime soon.

The company’s share price has surged by a whopping 550% in a year.

In its Q4 report, American semiconductor manufacturer Micron announced a record quarterly revenue of $54.2 billion. The semiconductor giant beat analyst expectations by at least a few billion Dollars, while showcasing a staggering 380% increase in revenue year-on-year.

Compared to 2025, Micron’s quarterly revenue jumped by $11 billion, which puts into perspective the incredible demand for memory products. Moreover, the memory maker’s stock price has also seen an exponential surge, increasing by 550% compared to just 12 months ago, with each share now being worth $33.42.

Micron has also set lofty goals for Q1 2027, predicting that the company will bring in $60 billion to $63 billion in revenue, a figure that is higher than analyst expectations once again. Considering how the company has already signed agreements with many clients to lock in these sky-high memory prices for the next five years, Micron will probably continue breaking records.

With the AI boom showing no signs of slowing down and semiconductor giants like Samsung warning that memory costs are only going to get worse for consumers in the next two years, Micron’s fortunes are looking very bright.
