One of the most overlooked PS5 releases has been Lost Soul Aside, a former indie game picked up by Sony, who revamped its development and budget. Lost Soul Aside combines the best of Devil May Cry and Final Fantasy-inspired gameplay with its flashy combat.

The game got a trailer at the PlayStation State of Play. Lost Soul Aside is set for a May 30th, 2025 launch.

Why It Matters: It’s been almost a decade since Sony picked Lost Soul Aside. The game has been delayed multiple times over the years and changed development aspects. Finally, fans can finally expect to play this title within the next few months.

The game was initially set for a PS4 release. However, it will now launch exclusively for PS5 consoles and PC

For a first project, Lost Soul Asides looks incredibly beautiful and has a mesmerizing game world. The game world is diverse, with each level taking players to a different place, such as ancient ruins, mysterious dimensions, and much more.

Playing as Kesar, players can wield a shape-shifting weapon that will adapt to any combat style. The towering boss fights from the previews look absolutely amazing and could easily rival those in AAA games.

For now, Lost Soul Asides is looking great and will be a huge victory for the former indie studio. Sony has also removed the PSN requirement for the game, and everything is in favor of a successful release.
