Lenovo's Take On Nintendo Switch Concept!

A new contender has emerged in the world of portable gaming, bringing its own take on the handheld gaming experience. According to a report, the contender in question is Lenovo, which is currently working on its own handheld console.

Several weeks after the report, Windows Report posted images of the Lenovo Legion Go, providing a glimpse of Lenovo’s latest product. The Legion Go seems to combine the finest elements of cutting-edge gaming devices into a familiar look.

Why it Matters: The Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck have dominated the portable gaming space for a while, and consumers can look forward to exciting new possibilities with the entrance of a fresh competitor.

Looking at the leaked images, Lenovo Legion Go comes with an intriguing design. The device seemingly integrates the attributes of two beloved portable consoles: the Steam Deck and the Nintendo Switch.

According to the report, this device is expected to feature an eight-inch bezel-less touchscreen along with removable controllers. The latter is a prominent feature of the Nintendo Switch.

The Legion Go is expected to come with a trackpad on the right-hand side. Unlike the Steam Deck’s touch pads on both sides, the right controller of the Legion Go features a wheel, opening up an exciting potential for gameplay mechanics.

The controllers look similar to the Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons and include the tactile feedback of the Steam Deck’s grips. Moreover, a strikingly wide kickstand, reminiscent of the Switch’s OLED model, presents a transformative solution for on-the-go tabletop gaming.

The reports also indicate that this handheld console will operate on the Windows 11 platform.

This should ensure compatibility with a vast array of Windows games. Moreover, the Legion Go will utilize AMD Phoenix processors, likely boasting superior specifications than the Steam Deck.

The AMD Phoenix processors promise exceptional performance tailored for gaming. This inclusion aligns Legion Go with the pedigree of portable devices such as the ROG Ally.

It is important to note that these are just leaks, and the final product can be very different from how it looks right now. The Lenovo Legion Go has potential, but it remains to be seen if it lives up to the hype created by the leaks.
