Tom Henderson, a well-known video game reporter, became the center of attention when he revealed that Hideo Kojima is working on a brand new horror game that has been given the title of Project Overdose

What seemed like a rumor only was seemingly confirmed by Kojima when someone from the Kojima Productions team contacted Tom Henderson to remove the post. He declined, stating that he wasn’t under any contract.

Tom further stated in an interview with Kotaku that he learned about “Overdose” a couple of days ago, but he had been hearing rumors about it for a long time,; hesaid:

“Early footage, that has been sent to me under the request of anonymity seems to show Mama from Death Stranding wearing a blue dress. The game, however, does not appear to be Death Stranding 2 and just features the actress who portrayed Mama, Margaret Qualley.” (Via Try Hard Guides (Tom henderson)

Since Tom Henderson’s controversial reveal, more leaks and details about the project have started pouring in. A video game leaker, @Onion00048 has revealed a new detail about the game claiming that the game will be on Cloud.

There were already reports of Hideo Kojima working with Microsoft and now it looks like the deal is sealed indeed, and the game that is in works is the Project Overdose. However, amidst all the rumors and stuff, it is a strange decision for Overdose to be a part of Cloud streaming as this service is available to limited countries only. With Cloud Streaming instead of downloading the game you can select and play almost instantly, but you also need a stable internet connection.

All this is purely based on rumors so take it with a grain of salt. There has been nothing official from Kojima or Microsoft. The one thing we are sure about is that this game isn’t a sequel to Death Stranding.

We will be keeping an keep an eye out for any further leaks and announcements from Kojima or Microsoft, for that. Will you be interested in Playing Project Overdose if it is cloud-based? Let us know in the comments.
