RTX 4080 Super Going Through Stock Shortages In The US

Scalpers Inbound As RTX 4080 Super Stocks Disappear Everywhere!

Since the release of the new Super refresh variants of the GeForce RTX 40 series late last month, Nvidia’s decision to remove $200 from the GeForce RTX 4080 GPU tier has grabbed a lot of attention among consumers.

There seems to be an apparent lack of stock of the GeForce RTX 4080 Super in North America. Less than two weeks after these graphics cards debuted, they are not readily available for online orders at US retailers.

$999 MSRP variants have practically vanished from online retailers. While BestBuy and Micro-Center still have a few options, including the Founders Edition, these are limited to in-store purchases.

Over in Europe, the GeForce RTX 4080 Super is going through a better launch period. Retailers still have cards listed near the MSRP of €1109, making it possible to buy these GPUs before they run out.

Furthermore, other cards like the GeForce RTX 4070 Super and GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super are readily available at the official MSRP and sometimes even below that. The GeForce RTX 4070 TI Super, in particular, is currently running a promotion and is available below its MSRP.

While the GeForce RTX 4080 Super barely offers any performance advantage over its non-Super counterpart, its $1000 MSRP makes it a much better product than the original GeForce RTX 4080.

The fact that it does this with a $200 lower price tag is the reason why the card is receiving a lot of attention. Another good option for a much lower price is currently the Radeon RX 7900 XTX.

This graphics card not only offers similar or better performance compared to the GeForce RTX 4080 Super but also features 24GB of memory, making it a better value offering for the cost.

Anyhow, the RTX 4080 Super is not readily available. We will have to wait a little while longer to see whether demand has significantly outpaced supply in the USA because media outlets are not granted access to precise sales numbers.
