Fable Not Appearing At Xbox Games Showcase Has Raised Many Eyebrows

Releasing Next Year!

Story Highlight
  • One of the most anticipated games didn’t appear at the Xbox Games Showcase.
  • While the showcase was pretty decent, the fandom was expecting Fable to be one of the big reveals.
  • The game is set to release next, so we may get some new information soon.

Xbox Games Showcase delivered, and there is no question about it. Fans collectively agree that it was way better than PlayStation State of Play and Summer Games Fest, as both underperformed.

While the showcase was pretty decent and featured many cool games, there were some fans who weren’t completely satisfied. That is because Fable didn’t make an appearance, and given that it is old, the demand for it was very high. Fable’s absence at the showcase has raised many eyebrows

Why it matters: Xbox Games Showcase featured many good releases, but the fandom wanted to see more about Fable, as it has a 2026 release window

While not the whole fandom can be pleased with such events, many were expecting Fable to appear during the Xbox Games Showcase. The game is insanely hyped, and that is exactly why many fans were left disappointed. They were so angry that the showcase was closed with a game like Black Ops 7.

I can’t believe this is what they closed the showcase with. Not a new Halo, not Fable, not E-Day. CoD…

Two big games that were missing from today’s XBOX showcase. I wonder when we will hear more about Fable and State of Decay 3?

All they did was name drop Fable with no release date, no update and no gameplay.

Fable Is One of The Most Hyped Games of 2026

Closing the show with a Call of Duty game is indeed lacklustre when there are games like Fable, State of Decay 3, and Halo Remake. It seems fair for the fandom to be angry at this, as Fable is a big game, and its reveal at the Xbox Games Showcase would have mattered a lot

However, most of the fadom seems pleased with the overall showcase, but the concern remains. The game is set to release in 2026, as confirmed by Phil Spencer, so we may see or hear more about it soon.
