According to a former Bethesda employee, The Elder Scrolls Online has over 20 million players and is one of the highest revenue-generating titles in the studio’s games lineup. 

Why it matters: The Elder Scrolls Online has been around for quite some time now, and thanks to constant updates and new content, it has a very loyal fan base that is continuing to grow.

As per Steve Harris, former Director of Creative Services at Bethesda Softworks’s LinkedIn profile, the title is one of the highest-performing MMOs, making it immensely popular and among the highest-grossing titles from the company. 

Last year, the game’s director also revealed that the title had reached over $2 billion in customer spending. Moreover, it also makes $15 million in profit each month, so we can imagine that the numbers must be humongous.
