Delta Force Hawk Ops: Is It The Ultimate Battlefield Killer?

Expert Verified By

Looking at the community's response, it could replace Battlefield...

Story Highlights
  • This game is heavily inspired by the Battlefield series and has kept the UI, transitions, and gameplay similar.
  • The twist is that this game has added operators’ abilities on the battlefield and COD-style gameplay.
  • Due to EA and DICE’s poor handling of the Battlefield franchise, the community gladly welcomes Hawk Ops.

Delta Force: Hawk Ops was developed by a Chinese company highly influenced by the Battlefield series. It’s so similar that it feels like a one-to-one copy of Battlefield. However, it might replace Battlefield once and for all.

Similarities

The game features a similar huge map with tons of modes of transportation and a large range of weapons.

Similar UI Design (Image By YT/LevelCapGaming)

At the time of deployment, Hawk Ops has the same UI design, with the teammates’ info on the left and your weapon loadout at the bottom. You also get the same countdown present at the bottom right side of your screen.

Shooting your enemies using your ADS has a similar hit marker and skull headshot icon, and each damage is registered in the same way as in Battlefield. Moreover, the enemy’s health and names are also visible while you’re shooting at them.

Similar Helicopter Crosshair (Image By YT/LevelCapGaming)

The helicopter crosshair radical looks identical, with the dots representing the remaining bullets. When you’re dead, you can be revived, and the distance of your ally is shown at the bottom right corner, as in Battlefield.

However, being revived by an ally shifts the camera to a point-of-view angle where you can see your teammate reviving you, similar to the Call Of Duty series. When you revive a fallen ally, you also initiate an animation similar to the one in Warzone.

The medic is also equipped with a healing pistol, which you can use to heal yourself or your teammates, similar to Battlefield 2042. However, the animations and mechanics are much better in Hawk Ops.

Similarities With COD (YT Comments)

Overall, the game seems to be fully inspired by the Battlefield series and partially by the COD series, taking a few parts for each of its games to create one game. The running animation and parachuting are reminiscent of Modern Warfare 2.

Difference

Delta Force took many things from the Battlefield series but included specialized operators, much like the agent’s abilities present in other games. This is a chance to see Battlefield-type games.

However, this twist to this genre is the only thing putting off Battlefield and COD fans. They would prefer it if abilities weren’t added to the game, as it looked promising without them.

Poor Handling Of The Franchise

Despite the many similarities, fans aren’t upset or disappointed. In fact, they are quite happy that this game is launched. EA hasn’t been the most efficient in handling the battlefield franchise, especially for the last two titles, and they even denied these claims.

Issues With Battlefield V & 2042

Both Battlefield V and Battlefield 2042 were plagued with bugs and glitches. Battlefield 2024 even had performance issues at launch and became a victim of registration issues, server instability, and connection problems.

Apart from that, Battlefield V also didn’t include the 5v5 competitive mode, which they had promised to add before the game’s launch. This, paired with the inconsistent updates, led to the fans’ frustration with the game.

Even though Battlefield 2042 Devs Hired 100 content creators, they still ignored their advice. They launched the game with fewer maps and modes than the previous titles. In addition, the campaign mode was absent from the game, which made it feel incomplete. Now, EA is expected to integrate a campaign mode in their next Battlefield game

Ignorant To Feedback

The updates to this game were very slow, and even after updates, the key issues remained unfixed for the most part. EA and DICE seemed to be ignorant of the community’s feedback.

This led to community-building resentment toward the entire Battlefield franchise. With this amount of frustration, fans gladly accept Delta Force Hawk Ops since they believe at least the company behind it won’t abandon their community.

Fans’ Response To Hawk Ops

Fans are even sighing relief that this game isn’t made by EA or DICE. Some appreciate the incredible gunsmith in a Battlfield-like game because it resembles the one in Escape From Tarkov.

Fans Are Interested (YouTube Comments)

Many also comment that the game looks like a combination of Modern Warfare 2 and Battlefield 2024.

Might Replace Battlefield

Despite all of that, fans are eagerly willing to play Delta Force Hawk Ops, and it might replace the Battlefield franchise in the near future if EA doesn’t stop killing their franchise by not listening to their community.
