Story Highlight

  • It caters to the difficulty complaints and nerfs boss health and damage.
  • The new patch has brought in a massive number of around 100 fixes to the game.

Crimson Desert is finally starting to get some love as the Steam reviews have now turned mostly positive from mixed. However, fans have complained that the difficulty with certain boss fights can be a bit too overwhelming.

Souls players will feel right at home, but casual players do find the difficulty hard to tackle. However, Pearl Abyss has released a new patch for Crimson Desert, and it fixes multiple things, including nerfing boss health and damage.

Why it matters: This will make the game more accessible to players who want to experience but don’t want to have a tough time tackling some of the brutal boss fights.

Crimson Desert Patch Notes

Patch notes reveal tons of content, quality of life, and other changes. Health and damage of certain bosses have now been reduced. Moreover, the difficulty of the ambush encounters has also been decreased after complaints.

This is great to see that the studio is indeed listening to the fans and making the game better as we go. The base is solid and just needs a bit more tweaking to make it shine, and maybe even reach its max potential.

However, we can’t really ignore its bigger shortcomings, like a weak story and an uninteresting protagonist. But the studio was going for heavy exploration, and the game absolutely nails that part.

Additionally, the new Patch 1.00.03 introduces nearly 100 fixes, so most of the minor and some of the major complaints have now been tended to. Pearl Abyss is adamant on improving the title as much as they can.
