On social media, the official Cyberpunk 2077 account shared a message from President Rosalind Myers. The message stated that an ongoing cybersecurity threat existed and called for netrunners to counter this threat.

The same message mentioned a date of 4 September 2025, which is likely when an announcement would be made.

For those unfamiliar, Rosalind Myers was the main plot point of the Phantom Liberty expansion. This message suggests she will reprise her role in the next content addition.

With update 2.3, CDPR has already teased the addition of cut content in a future update. Casinos were teased via an in-game advertisement, one of the most highly requested features for the game.

Cyberpunk 2 is expected around 2029–30, so a new DLC would ease the wait. On the other hand, another report suggested that The Witcher 3 is also getting a new DLC 10 years after the game’s release.

Whether it’s a new DLC, a content update, or something else entirely, we’ll find out on 4 September.
