Because of the controversies surrounding The Witcher 4, a vocal part of the gaming audience has begun to draw comparisons between the two, often painting one or the other in a negative light.

However, Patrick Mills from CDPR states that the team is on great terms with Rebel Wolves. He showed his support for his former colleagues, stating that developers from both studios still stay in touch.

Following these interactions, it didn’t take long for the narrative director of The Witcher 4 to show his support for Rebel Wolves. He directly addressed Tomaszkiewicz, the director of The Witcher 3 and The Blood of Dawnwalker, wishing the best to him and his team.

Ultimately, both teams hope to see their games succeed. The Blood of Dawnwalker will be the first to make its debut, arriving later this year. The Witcher 4, on the other hand, does not have a release date yet but should arrive within the next few years at some point.
