Capcom is certainly one of the most consistent companies in the gaming industry, releasing hits one after the other. This also shows from the company’s records, as it has once again marked a very successful fiscal year in terms of profitability. 

In its latest earnings report, Capcom has revealed that the company has recorded its 12th consecutive year of profits. This year also marked the highest consolidated sales and operating income in its history. 

Why it matters: Monster Hunter Wilds has been a massive hit for Capcom, driving some crazy sales numbers; apart from that, Street Fighter and Resident Evil also continue to sell well. 

Capcom has marked yet another year of increased profits

Capcom released its FY2025 Earnings Report, marking a huge milestone for the company. Along with this year being the 12th consecutive profitable year, it is also the 10th of year of operating profits increasing by over 10%. 

Resident Evil is Capcom’s most successful franchise with 173 million units, then comes Monster Hunter at 132 million, Street Fighter at 56 million, Mega Man at 44 million, and Devil May Cry at 33 million.

In addition, the company sold a humongous 51.87 million units in FY2025, marking a 13% increase year-on-year, with 90% of those sales being digital. For next year, it aims to sell 54 million units, and over 10% growth once again. 

This shows what a huge impact Capcom has had on the industry. Even months later, Monster Hunter Wilds is still selling well, while older games keep on selling too. So, this ultimately is another immensely successful year for the Japanese giants.
