Direct Sequel To COD Cold War From 2020!

Call of Duty is one of the biggest gaming IPs in the world and has dominated the FPS market for decades. A new Call of Duty title launches each year, and it seems information has already leaked about the installment releasing in 2024.

Previously, a datamine revealed multiple pieces of information about Call of Duty 2024, hinting at a Gulf War setting. A Call of Duty insider has now confirmed this rumored setting for the title.

Why it matters: The Black Ops games are fan-favorite Call of Duty titles, and a new Black Ops title will undoubtedly delight fans of the series.

According to the leaks, the game’s multiplayer mode will be limited to 6v6, introducing a longer time-to-kill like Black Ops 4.

Treyarch Games, the famous studio behind the Black Ops franchise, is expected to return for the latest entry. The game will reintroduce sliding and tactical sprint, but tactical sprint will only last a few seconds.

Treyarch will also utilize the new Call of Duty engine for the first time. This engine will be used across all future titles to allow for seamless integration into the Warzone 2.0 battle royale.

Previously, the developer faced multiple development hurdles due to the pandemic. However, the 2024 release is not expected to face such challenges, allowing Treyarch to potentially deliver an exciting title for the fans.

It should be noted that Treyarch’s release is over a year away, and Sledgehammer Games is reportedly working on this year’s title.

Regarding the next Call of Duty, not much has been revealed so far. However, during the FTC and Microsoft court hearing, the judge stated that the next title would be Modern Warfare 3, and earlier leaks suggested a November 10 release date.
