Just two weeks before Borderlands 4 launched, Pitchford claimed the game runs “buttery smooth” on PS5 and Xbox Series X. He also stated that the Series S version performs pretty well. However, these claims have not aligned with player experiences.

According to recent reports, Borderlands 4 suffers from severe performance problems, including frame rate drops as low as 1 FPS, primarily due to memory leak issues. In some cases, the game has even crashed entirely.
