Beyond Good and Evil 2 has been one of the most awaited games from Ubisoft since it was teased in 2008. Nearly a decade later, the game was announced at E3 2017. Beyond Good and Evil, 2 will be a much-anticipated prequel to the original released in 2006.

The E3 2018 trailer indeed excited the fans. However, since then, there have not been any updates regarding the prequel by Ubisoft, which led to fans getting disappointed that the game might be shelved. Also, Ubisoft canceled a bunch of games in a recent financial report though there was no mention of Beyond Good and Evil 2.

While people were expecting the game not to launch, industry insider Tom Henderson has brought some fresh news that has got all the fans excited once. The game is going nowhere; it has now entered the playtesting phase (Organized video game sessions that allow participants to try new content currently in development).

According to Ubisoft, the Ubisoft Forward presentation will take place on September 10, 2022. Fans of Beyond Good and Evil 2 may find the event quite thrilling because it may deliver them the news they have been waiting for for a long time.

This multi-game showcase, which was revealed via an official Ubisoft blog, promises “never-before-seen news, gameplay, revelations, and more.” Though it’s unclear precisely which games will be displayed, we can always hope for additional Beyond Good and Evil 2 information.

What’s interesting is that Beyond Good and Evil 2 is being dubbed as an ‘AAAA’ title, the same as Ubisoft has called Skull and Bones and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Although the supported platforms of the game are currently unknown, it being an AAAA title, we can guess that it might launch only on the next-gen consoles and PC.

If the reports are true, we hope we find out more about the game in the next Ubisoft Forward. It would be even better if we finally get a release date for the game, as the fans have been waiting for over a decade.
