Armored Core 6 Gameplay Reveal Expected Soon

New Artwork Also Leaked!

Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon is the latest title from the Japanese developer, FromSoftware. Fans have been patiently waiting for the release of the mecha-based combat game since its official reveal at The Game Awards in 2023.

However, there has been little to no information about the game since then. Previously, a report claimed that Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon will release in September or October of 2023. But the game is still mostly a mystery.

Key art for the game was recently leaked, which excited many fans. This leak came from the Xbox pre-install screen, and users quickly noticed something strange about the version of the game.

As seen below, the Xbox install screen shows Armored Core 6 version 2.1.0.1.

It would be odd for a game that is not coming anytime soon to be on version 2.0 already.

This implies the game may have gone through a few updates, like a potential day-one patch. Looking at this information, it seems likely that a gameplay reveal is coming soon, with Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon meeting its 2023 release date.

The artwork draws inspiration from Dark Souls, a series by FromSofware. It was revealed previously that Armored Core 6: Fires of Ribcon’s story is unrelated to Armored Core 5, so new gamers will not have to play previous games to enjoy the game.

The game is set on a remote planet, Rubicon 3, which has been contaminated and sealed off due to a catastrophe. The catastrophe can be seen in the artwork, which was brought about by a mysterious substance.

Like previous FromSoftware titles, the game will focus on single-player elements but will have an online arena mode. The battle system is also expected to be dynamic and aggressive.

News regarding Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon is expected to come soon at any of the upcoming major gaming events. This includes announced and rumored events like the PlayStation showcase, Xbox showcase, Summer Games Fest, and more.
