The Damage Done After The Layoffs Is Irreparable!

Story Highlight
  • Mindseye promised a huge potential, but had a miserable launch due to being broken.
  • Former developers believe that there is no way the game can make a comeback.
  • The studio laid off around 300 employees after the disastrous launch.

Mindseye was supposed to be the next big video game IP in the industry. Brimming with potential with a team of former Rockstar developers, the expectations were high. The launch was instead a disaster and labeled as the worst game of the year.

Recently, some former and current Build A Rocket Boy developers lodged a mass complaint against the studio for mistreatment. The former developers also believe that Mindseye will never be able to make a huge comeback.

Why it matters: The studio CEO stated that the primary reason Mindseye failed was because of saboteurs, and the game will indeed relaunch in the future, but former studio employees think it won’t be possible.
