AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT Discounted To All-Time Low Price of $380

Mid-Range Champ In The Making?

Story Highlights
  • The AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT debuted for $450 in August 2023.
  • The Asrock Challenger RX 7700 XT is now available at its lowest price yet, marking a nearly $100 discount over the original MSRP.
  • The new discount makes it the perfect mid-range 1440p gaming card.

One of AMD’s most recent RDNA 3 GPUs is the Radeon RX 7700 XT from 2023. This mid-range option features 54 SMs, 3456 cores, 54 RT acceleration units, and 12GB of VRAM.

While the Radeon RX 7700 XT had great performance for modern standards, its MSRP proved to be a significant weak point. The graphics card was simply unable to match the standard of value set by its own predecessor due to a $450 MSRP.

However, the latest discount has brought the GPU down to a new low in terms of price.

Why it matters: AMD’s RDNA 3 lineup offers much better ray tracing. This makes the Radeon RX 7700 XT a compelling upgrade option as it comes closer to the price of the RX 6700 XT.

It looks like retailers have finally realized that this graphics card needed to be priced better and are now offering numerous discounts to compete against rival cards from Nvidia and Intel.

The Radeon RX 7700 XT ASRock Challenger, in particular, is now at its lowest price yet on Newegg for just $379.99. With this new discounted price, the GPU is finally a valid purchase to replace other popular mid-range cards on the market.

Thanks to its Navi 32 GPU and 12GB of VRAM, the RX 7700 XT has become a formidable rival to the likes of the RTX 4060 Ti, which retails for $400 and above while offering less memory and worse performance.

Gaming performance for this AMD GPU lands between the RTX 4060 Ti and RTX 4070.

AMD also formally dropped the price of the Radeon RX 7700 XT from $449 to $419 in January. However, the card went down to $400 in no time after the official drop.

The graphics card always lived in the shadow of the Radeon RX 7800 XT, which cost just $50 more and delivered much better performance at launch. With the new price and multiple discounts, the Radeon RX 7700 XT is finally coming into its own.
