Despite being nearly a decade old, the Tekken 7 competitive scene is still going strong. Over the last few years, various players from Pakistan have made a massive name for themselves in Tekken 7.
Following wins in tournaments like EVO, Combo Breaker, and Tekken World Tour finals, players from Pakistan have achieved another major victory in Tekken 7.
Why it matters: The Pakistani Tekken players took the entire world by storm a few years ago. Since then, many top players from countries like Korea have visited the country for practice. This victory marks another exceptional result for the country.
Professional Tekken players Atif Butt, Khan, and Arslan Ash were picked to represent Pakistan in the Gamers8 Nations Cup.
The tournament included countries like Japan and Korea, featuring incredible Tekken players like Knee, Ulsan, Chikurin, and Nobi. This meant the tournament had no shortage of intense matches and surprising outcomes.
Following a 3-0 victory over Korea, team Pakistan advanced to the Grand Finals. All three players from the country had performed well in the tournament up to this point, and they were the favorites to win the Grand Finals.
The team had to face the formidable Korean players in the finals and once again managed to come out on top.
The tournament had a grand prize pool of $1 million, with $500K reserved for the winning team. All three players have worked hard for this achievement and will likely celebrate to their heart’s content in the coming days.
