Starbreeze Studios is revisiting the Payday franchise with Payday 3. The first-person co-op shooter has begun to generate excitement for the franchise, with the third entry coming nearly a decade after the last game.

The latest Xbox Showcase has revealed new gameplay for Payday 3 and confirms a September 21 release date.

The gameplay highlights the fps gameplay. Players can slide while shooting, rappel down buildings, and utilize a wide variety of weapons.

Additionally, it highlights heist mechanics like taking hostages. Opposing forces like the police and armored enemies are also shown.

Payday 3 will be launched on Xbox Game Pass at release, joining the many upcoming titles on the subscription service.

The game has already been wish-listed by over 1 million Steam users, and the new gameplay trailer may encourage even more players to try the game in September.
