Flight Simulator 2024 And Age of Mythology Also Coming!

Story Highlight
  • Ever since Xbox has gone multiplatform, there have been rumors about its iconic franchises being released to PS5.
  • An insider recently claimed that Flight Simulator 2024 and Halo: The Master Chief Collection are coming to the console.
  • Another reliable insider confirmed it and further added that Hellblade 2, Gears 1, and Age of Mythology are also coming.

There have been plenty of rumors going on about iconic Xbox games coming to the PlayStation 5 for a while now. Xbox has already adopted the multiplatform strategy, so these rumors didn’t seem like a reach.

More and more reports have further backed the ongoing rumors, as one of them revealed that Fable, Halo, Gears and more are in development for the PS5. Another well-reputed insider has claimed that Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Helblade 2, Gears of War 1, and Age of Mythology are coming to PS5 this year

Why it matters: Xbox has changed its strategy, which seems to have secured its future. The gaming giant is doubling down on releasing more games on other platforms, so the insider’s claim seems reliable.

Halo
One of the Most Iconic Xbox Franchises Seems To Be Heading To PlayStation 5

Nate The Hate, an insider, just recently revealed that Flight Simulator and Halo: The Master Chief Collection are slated for multiplatform treatment. He revealed that both games will be launched on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2

Jez Corden, one of the most reliable insiders, especially when the news is related to Xbox, has backed this rumor saying that the report from Mr Hate is true.

I can corroborate independently with our own sources that all of the above does seem to be true. It seems that Microsoft isn’t stopping there, though.

While backing up the claim, Jez has added something more. He said that Microsoft isn’t just releasing the two aforementioned games, but it will also release Hellblade 2, Age of Mythology, and potentially Gears of War 1 Ultimate Edition to PS5 this year.

Xbox and PlayStation Multiplatform 2025
Xbox and PlayStation Both Seems To Be Going Multiplatform in 2025

However, the insider is not sure whether the gaming giant plans to release these three titles to the Nintendo Switch 2. While Jez hasn’t been able to confirm this bit, he thinks that Xbox will most likely not skip the upcoming handheld from Nintendo.

Halo is one of Xbox’s important franchises, so some might not believe that the gaming giant is releasing it for the PS5. However, past reports have claimed that a Halo Trilogy remake is in the works and will also be released on the PlayStation 5.

The upcoming Halo’s shift to Unreal Engine 5 also suggests an imminent launch of Sony’s current-gen console. So, whether fans believe it or not, it seems likely that the gaming giant is releasing one of its most iconic franchises on the rival platform.
