Black Myth: Wukong has arguably been the most anticipated title set for launch this month. However, Lunatic Ignus, a reliable leaker, mentions that although the game is enjoyable, it might not be a strong contender for the Game of the Year award.
Lunatic Ignus is known for reliably leaking information about Chinese games, such as early trailers for Phantom Blade Zero and Lost Soul Aside. Therefore, his arguments carry some weight.
Why it matters: Black Myth: Wukong is generating a lot of hype days before its release. However, Lunatic Ignus’ comment suggests that people might want to manage their expectations.
Lunatic seems to have gotten his hands on a review copy or received early footage to draw these conclusions. He believes that while Black Myth: Wukong offers great gameplay, it doesn’t have the groundbreaking features needed to be a top Game of the Year contender.
