Valve Has Recently Filed CS2 And Counter Strike Trademarks

Giving Further Confirmation To Previous Rumors!

The Counter-Strike series has consistently surpassed expectations and provided excellent quality since its inception. Fans worldwide have given the games wonderful reviews, and the series is still going strong after nearly 23 years.

CSGO, the fourth and newest installment in the Counter-Strike series, is still the most-played title on Steam and recently broke its concurrent steam record twice a month, even though it has been nearly 11 years since it was released.

Many people had anticipated a follow-up to CSGO due to the game’s success, but there hasn’t been any official word on another iteration in the Counter-Strike series. However, things have been heating up as recent rumors about a potential Counter-Strike 2 have been circulating.

Now it appears that the rumors have received even more support, this time from Valve itself, as they recently filed four trademark applications related to CS2 and Counter-Strike.

The first Counter-Strike and the second CS2 trademarks are almost identical, covering video game software, computer game programs that may be downloaded via the internet, and electronic game software.

After that, the second Counter-Strike trademark and the first CS2 trademark are also almost identical, covering entertainment services like online video games, online computer games, and organizing competitions.

This is excellent news for all the Counter-Strike fans out there because there is finally some official backing to the Counter-Strike 2 claims. We are yet to hear an official word from Valve, but it looks like we will be due one soon.

We are excited and looking forward to Counter-Strike 2. This is our limited information for now, but we will be looking for more news regarding the potentially upcoming Counter Strike 2.
