Valorant is the extremely popular competitive online shooter from Riot Games. The game takes aspects from  games like Cs go and Overwatch for a competitive hero based shooter. While the game is exclusive to PC for now, a mobile version was announced by Riot Games in 2021.

Valorant’s executive director, Anna Donlon said that Riot is thrilled to bring the competitive experience of the game to mobile devices. While news on the topic has been sparse for a while, we might have the first real screenshots of the game.

The images come courtesy of DannyIntel on twitter. Danny covers mobile gaming news frequently and has posted a few pictures from the supposed game on his twitter. The images can be seen down below.

These images look very convincing to say the least. The game has entered its first test phase in China according to DannyIntel which would explain how the Twitter user was able to obtain these images.

While Riot’s plan to bring the shooter to mobile platforms is ambitious, it is unclear how they intend to preserve the game’s competitive nature when making the move. The game is heavily reliant on precise and accurate aiming which requires the freedom of a mouse. Nonetheless, competitive games have still managed to work on mobile devices in the past. PUBG Mobile and Free Fire are a few examples of such mobile games. With some tweaks to the formula, Riot could be able to come up with something that satisfies the mobile market and helps expand the Valorant playerbase.
